According to Prime Minister Petr Fiala (Civic Democratic Party), the Czech-led initiative to supply Ukraine with artillery shells could again deliver around 520,000 rounds of 155 mm caliber this year, matching last year’s figure. In an interview with the Financial Times, Fiala accused opposition leader Andrej Babiš of aiding Russian President Vladimir Putin by rejecting the initiative and opposing defense spending. Babiš responded that Fiala’s claims are false and meant only to provoke political confrontation. The dispute comes ahead of a parliamentary debate on the Czech Army's development plan. The Czech Republic remains one of Ukraine’s staunchest military supporters.
