Interior Ministry preparing survival guide for Czech citizens

The Interior Ministry is preparing a survival guide for Czech citizens with advice on how to behave in a crisis and how to prepare for it. The manual aims to prepare individuals and communities for situations where they may be left to fend for themselves for up to 72 hours (3 days) before organised aid arrives. The guide includes practical advice on stocking up on basic necessities such as water, medicine, hygiene supplies, food, a torch, batteries and a transistor radio, which can become the only means of receiving news in an emergency. Similar brochures are being prepared by the Polish and French governments.
