Czech Fruhvirtová through to fourth round in Miami

Czech tennis teenage sensation Linda Fruhvirtová continues her dream journey at the Miami Open WTA event. The 16-year-old wildcard, who is ranked World No. 279 defeated three-time champion Viktoria Azarenka 6-2, 3-0 of Belarus.

Fruhvirtová has become the youngest player to reach the round of 16 at Miami since Tatiana Golovin in 2004. She will face Spain’s Paula Badosa in the next round.

Another Czech player, Petra Kvitová, is also through to the fourth round after defeating Lauren Davis of the United States 7-5, 6-1.
