Tennis: Krejčíková through to Australian Open quarterfinals

The Czech Republic’s world No. 4 Barbora Krejčíková has advanced to the quarterfinals at the Australian Open after cruising past Victoria Azarenka of Belarus 6-2, 6-2.

The French Open Champion, who had never previously gone past the second round at the Australian Open, will next face Madison Keys of the US, who earlier defeated eighth-seeded Paula Badosa of Spain.

Krejčíková and her compatriot Kateřina Siniaková also qualified for the third round of the women’s doubles.
