Registered new Covid cases lowest for Tuesday in over month

Some 16,691 new cases of Covid-19 were recorded in the Czech Republic on Tuesday. The figure was around 2,800 lower than for the same day last week and the lowest for a Tuesday – which tends to see the most registered cases – since November 9. Detected infections have now declined for 13 days in succession in week-on-week terms.

There were 5,850 people in hospital with Covid on Tuesday, 966 of them in a critical condition.
