Sunday saw lowest number of new coronavirus cases since start of 2022
Sunday saw 2,572 people test positive for Covid-19 for the first time in the Czech Republic, with a further 461 reinfections, Health Ministry data shows. This is a decrease by around 750 cases when compared to the same day the previous week and is also the lowest number of new cases registered since January 2.
The weekly coronavirus incidence rate currently lies at an average of 506 cases per 100,000 people. Meanwhile, 2,095 people with Covid-19 require hospitalisation, 163 are in serious condition.
