The Stations of the Cross in the Church of Blessed Mary Restituta in Brno-Lesná was inspired by some of the city’s famous citizens

The Church of Blessed Mary Restituta in the housing estate in Brno-Lesná boasts a new Stations of the Cross made of stained glass. Artist Hana Jakrlová was inspired by personalities from Brno's history when creating the individual images. The first station, depicting Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane, commemorates writer Milan Kundera, the eighth station where  Jesus meets the women of Jerusalem, was inspired by the fate of actress Vlasta Chramostová. The last depiction is dedicated to the patron saint of the church. The sanctuary itself was built according to the design of architect Marek Jan Štěpán and financed by donations from the local parish in the years 2017 to 2020.
