Škoda Auto boosts production by 4.2 percent in 2024
Czech carmaker Škoda Auto manufactured over 925,000 vehicles worldwide in 2024, a 4.2 percent increase compared to the previous year. The majority of production—823,000 cars—came from its Czech plants in Mlada Boleslav and Kvasiny, the company announced on Thursday.
In addition to vehicles, Škoda contributed to its parent group Volkswagen by producing over 280,000 battery systems for electric and plug-in hybrid cars. The company also manufactured more than one million transmissions and nearly 500,000 engines. Škoda’s two Indian plants added 32,800 vehicles to the global total.
