Škoda Auto boosts nine-month profit by 5% as electric SUVs drive sales

Škoda Auto increased its operating profit by 5.4% to €1.79 billion (about CZK 43.6 billion) in the first three quarters of this year, according to parent company Volkswagen. Revenue rose 9.5% to €22.34 billion, while Volkswagen’s own operating profit more than halved.

The Czech carmaker sold 870,000 vehicles between January and September, up 7.5% year-on-year, driven by strong demand for its electric SUVs Elroq and Enyaq. Volkswagen said Škoda is now among Europe’s most successful makers of fully electric cars.

Škoda operates three plants in Czechia and additional facilities in countries including China, India, and Slovakia.
