Number of refugees at Prague Congress Centre declines

Prague’s assistance centre for Ukrainian refugees on Friday processed some 1,153 people who had fled to the Czech Republic to escape the Russian invasion. That is almost a thousand fewer than on the same day a week ago.

Since the outbreak of war in Ukraine more than a week ago, the centre has registered more than 56,600 war refugees. By mid-April, it is set to move from its current location at the city’s Congress Centre to a former Komerční banka building in the Vysočany district.
