Prague refugee centre set to move from Congress Centre

Prague’s assistance centre for Ukrainian refugees is set to move by April 14, the city’s mayor, Zdeněk Hřib, said on Tuesday. The centre will switch from its current central location at the city’s Congress Centre to a former Komerční banka building in the Vysočany district.

The reason for the change is that the Congress Centre is contracted to host events during the Czech presidency of the European Union in the second half of the year.

Property developers Central Group will provide the Vysočany building to the city for free and will cover energy costs.
