Czech archer Horáčková wins World Cup Final on debut
Czech archer Marie Horáčková has won the World Cup Final in Saltillo, Mexico, on her first appearance at the season-ending event. The 28-year-old, who became world champion in 2023, defeated two Mexican competitors before beating Germany’s Katharina Bauer in the decisive match. Horáčková qualified for the eight-woman World Cup Final after winning a World Cup event in Madrid in July. That victory had already made her the first Czech female archer in history to win a World Cup tournament.
