Siniaková claims first singles title in over a year at Polish Open
Kateřina Siniaková captured her first singles title in more than a year, winning the WTA 125-level Polish Open. The Czech doubles star defeated Switzerland’s Viktorija Golubic in the final in just 78 minutes, 6:1, 6:2.
The 29-year-old, currently ranked No. 89 in the world, dropped only one set throughout the tournament - in her opening match against Thailand’s Lanlana Tararudee. Just a week ago, she exited the WTA event in Prague in the quarterfinals after a loss to Linda Nosková.
Her last singles title came in May 2023 at a WTA Challenger event in Lleida, Spain. Siniaková owns five career singles titles on the main WTA Tour.
