Czech ministry warns against travel to fire-hit southwest France

The Czech Foreign Ministry has advised people not to travel to France's Gironde department, where major wildfires continue to spread. Czechs already in the area have been urged to leave and follow instructions from French emergency services. The warning was sent through the Drozd travel registration system, which currently lists more than 300 Czech citizens in France. The ministry also noted that wildfires are affecting Spain, Italy, Greece and parts of North Africa, with high temperatures expected to worsen conditions in the coming days.
