Czech officer appointed to senior NATO command post
Colonel Jan Husák, head of the Czech Army’s Directorate of Foreign Activities, is set to take up a senior position at NATO’s Joint Support and Enabling Command (JSEC) in Germany. According to Czech Radio, he will serve as deputy chief of staff, helping coordinate the alliance’s logistics and support operations, including the rapid movement of allied forces across member states. His three-year posting is due to begin in August, and the Czech government is expected to approve his promotion to brigadier general on Monday. Husák has served in the Czech military since 1990 and previously held NATO assignments in Germany and Ukraine.
