ANO, SPD and Motorists agree on faster construction, differ on regional development ministry

For ANO, the Freedom and Direct Democracy (SPD) and the Motorists’ parties, now negotiating a future government program, speeding up construction permits and housing development is a top priority. ANO and SPD want to restore the original version of the Building Act, including the creation of a Supreme Building Authority. Motorists would prefer to modernize the law and update technical standards. The main disagreement concerns the Ministry for Regional Development: ANO would abolish it, SPD would keep and reform it, while Motorists could support its dissolution under certain conditions. All three support using neglected brownfield sites for new housing.
