Online hate targeting LGBT+ youth on the rise

Hate speech against LGBT+ youth in Czechia is growing, with one in five encountering it daily, according to a survey by T‑Mobile, In IUSTITIA, and Ipsos. The study found that every LGBT+ respondent aged 11–21 had faced hate at least once, with 94% experiencing it online and two‑thirds subjected to cyberbullying. To help, T‑Mobile supports sbarvouven.cz, a counselling service run by Prague Pride, which has assisted over 6,700 people since 2015. The service offers mentoring and crisis support for young LGBT+ people and their families, addressing issues from bullying to mental health struggles.
