New initiative aims to engage young voters ahead of parliamentary elections

The initiative Your Voice, Your Choice aims to encourage more young people to cast their ballot in the autumn parliamentary elections. Its outreach strategy involves collaboration with influencers and artists, as well as a student-led election debate and a “30 under 30” list of young candidates running in the general elections who best represent their interests.

The project is being led by the media outlet Bold News in cooperation with the platforms Based, Zavolíme!, and United Islands. According to Alice Mikulášová from Bold News, the goal is to spark young people's interest in politics and encourage them to vote in large numbers in the parliamentary elections, which will be held this year on October 3 and 4.

The initiative also plans to produce an election guide that will offer not only news coverage but also a basic outline of how elections work, aimed specifically at first-time or less experienced voters.
