Lehečka beaten by Djokovic at Australian Open

24th seeded Czech tennis player Jiri Lehečka’s hopes of advancing to the quarterfinals of the Australian Open were dashed on Sunday when he lost 3:6, 4:6, 6:7 to Novak Djokovic of Serbia, winner of a record 24 Grand Slams. The tournament in Melbourne thus continues without Czech participation in singles.
