Czech woman released from Pakistan jail still unable to leave country

A Czech woman jailed in Pakistan for drug smuggling has not been able to leave the country despite being released in November, the website TN.cz reported. This was confirmed by MEP, who is working to have her released, and the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Tereza Hlůšková, who was caught with nine kilogrammes of heroin in 2018, requires an exit visa which will not be issued until a court in Pakistan hears an appeal against her release filed by the country’s customs service.

The Czech was previously reported to have left Pakistan.
