Czech model acquitted of drug smuggling in Pakistan may have to face new trial
Pakistani customs officers are filing an appeal against the release of Czech model Tereza Hlůšková, who was acquitted by the Lahore court in November of charges of heroin smuggling. Hlůšková was released from prison more than two weeks ago, but has remained in Islamabad waiting for permission to leave the country. According to iDnes.cz the Pakistani customs administration will also file a motion for her to remain in Pakistan until the Supreme Court rules on the case. Customs officers say they want to present new evidence implicating the Czech.
