Fourth highest Sunday increase in Covid cases recorded in Czechia
Laboratories in the Czech Republic registered 5,650 new cases of Covid-19 on Sunday, 2,645 more than on the same day last week. It is the fourth highest Sunday increase in new Covid cases since the pandemic hit the country last March.
The number of people hospitalised with Covid increased by 855 over the past week to 3,804. Some 572 of them are in serious condition.
According to Health Ministry data, the Czech Republic presently has on average over 717 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the space of seven days.
