New school year to start with mass Covid testing

Primary and secondary school students who are not fully vaccinated should undergo Covid testing three times at the start of the new school year, the Czech government decided on Monday. Mass testing should take place on September 1, September 6 and September 9. Those who refuse to get tested will have to wear face masks. Teachers and school staff will also be required to take tests.

Teachers are also urged to limit mixed classes in voluntary subjects and keep gym lessons outdoors as much as possible.
