Covid-19: few positive cases identified in schools across Czechia

A total of about 67,900 students and pupils were tested in Prague for Covid-19 infection, with only 38 of them testing positive for the virus, suggest the data released by the Prague Hygiene Office on Thursday.

In other regions, the rate of positive tests was also very low. All Czech children had to undergo preventative tests for the virus on their arrival to school Wednesday morning, with the exception of first graders, who were tested Thursday.

Further nationwide Covid-19 tests at primary and secondary schools will be carried out on September 6 and 9.
