Czechia to send humanitarian aid to Nepal

Czechia will provide CZK 2.5 million in humanitarian aid to Nepal following devastating flash floods and landslides near the border with Tibet. Foreign Minister Petr Macinka (Motorists) approved the assistance on Thursday. Nepalese police say 469 people have died and hundreds remain missing after Wednesday’s disaster, which was apparently triggered by a glacier collapse. The Czech Foreign Ministry says it has no information about any Czech citizens among the dead or missing. Twenty-one people are registered as being in Nepal through the ministry’s Drozd travel system.
