Czechia sends emergency supplies to flood-hit Nepal

Czechia has sent emergency supplies to Nepal following devastating floods that struck the country in late August. The shipment includes 500 blankets, 500 sleeping mats and 500 beds, provided after Nepal requested assistance through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism. More than 1,400 people have been confirmed dead in Nepal, with over 6,100 still missing. Czech humanitarian organisations have so far raised around CZK 47.5 million for relief efforts. Interior Minister Lubomír Metnar (ANO) said the scale of the disaster was enormous and stressed the importance of showing solidarity with those affected.
