Ukraine support gatherings held, public buildings lit in Ukrainian colours

Around 1,000 people gathered in central Prague on Tuesday evening to express solidarity with Ukraine and its citizens. The event was organised by Million Moments for Democracy, which said Russia’s President Putin was threatening the lives of Ukrainians and carrying out war under the pretext of a peace mission, and other groups. Similar gatherings were held in a number of other cities.

Public buildings, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Petřín Lookout Tower in Prague, were lit up in Ukraine’s blue and yellow colours on Tuesday evening as a gesture of support.
