Two Czech climbers stranded on Rakaposhi mountain start their descent
Three climbers, two of them from the Czech Republic, who have been stranded on Pakistan’s Rakaposhi Mountain since Friday, started descending after receiving food and other items from a helicopter.
Climbers Jakub Vlček and Petr Macek and Pakistani Wajidullah Nagri were stranded at a height of 6,900 meter after conquering the 7,788-metre-high peak on Friday.
One of the Czech climbers is suffering from high altitude sickness, and both of them have frost bite. Previous attempts to rescue them with a helicopter have failed due to unfavourable weather conditions.
