Second Czech plane takes off from Kabul airport

A second Czech Army evacuation plane took off from the airport in the Afghan capital Kabul on Tuesday. The aircraft was carrying Czechs, including ambassador Jiří Baloun, and locally hired staff to the Czech Republic.

A first plane carrying 46 Czechs and their Afghan colleagues and family members arrived in Prague on Monday morning. Many Western states hastily shuttered their embassies after the Taliban rapidly took control of the country.
