Prymula takes reins as health minister
Epidemiologist Roman Prymula has begun serving as minister of health in the Czech government. He was appointed on Monday, just hours after the news that Adam Vojtěch was stepping down from the post after three years.
Prime Minister Andrej Babiš said that Mr. Prymula would provide crisis management at the Ministry of Health, where he previously served as deputy minister. The 56-year-old headed the Central Crisis Staff in the beginning of the coronavirus crisis and was latterly government commissioner for research in the health sciences.
