Přindiš wins world kayak cross title

Czech canoe slalom racer Vít Přindiš has won the world title in kayak cross at the World Championships in Oklahoma City, the venue for the 2028 Olympic canoe slalom events. The 37-year-old secured victory with a decisive move near the end of the final, overtaking Switzerland's Dimitri Marx. It is the second world title of Přindiš's career after his 2022 canoe slalom kayak gold in Augsburg. The medal is Czechia's seventh at the championships and its third gold. All five Czech athletes who reached the knockout stage advanced to at least the quarter-finals, with Olga Samková finishing sixth overall.
