Opening of Hrabal’s holiday home attracts crowds of visitors

Saturday’s opening of what was once the holiday home of famous Czech writer Bohumil Hrabal attracted so many visitors that queues began forming in front of the house before tours began, the Czech News Agency reports.

This Saturday, the public is allowed inside the house for the first time since the property was purchased by the authorities of the Central Bohemian Region. The special opening is taking place on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Bohumil Hrabal’s death. The house, which is located in Kersko near the Elbe River, will remain open until 4pm.
