Media: PM’s aide submits proposal to cut staff by 10 percent to ministers

Acting on behalf of Prime Minister Andrej Babiš, the head of the Office of the Government, Tünde Bartha, submitted a proposal to cut 10 percent of jobs at ministries and other state bodies from the start of next year, Seznam Zprávy, reported on Tuesday.

The news outlet said that Ms. Bartha had informed ministers of the plan at the most recent cabinet meeting, despite it not being on the official agenda; following objections from ministers, discussion of the matter was suspended.
