eDoklady users urged to update app before October elections

Users of the eDoklady digital ID application, which allows people to identify themselves without a physical identity card, need to install an update to ensure the app continues to work properly, the Digital and Information Agency said.

The agency said it is doing everything to ensure that the system remains stable during the October elections. Although the update itself takes only a short time, the process could take longer when large numbers of people try to install it shortly before voting, it said.

Voters are therefore advised to install the update at least 48 hours before the election.
