President Pavel discusses foreign trips and budget with PM Babiš
President Petr Pavel met Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (ANO) at Prague Castle on Monday for talks on planned foreign trips, international affairs and next year’s state budget. The hour-long meeting also covered upcoming foreign visits to Czechia. Mr Babiš said he would meet the president again at a planned session of the State Security Council, while further bilateral meetings would take place as needed. Motorists chairman Petr Macinka had also been invited to Monday’s talks but did not attend after consulting the prime minister. Mr Babiš said Mr Macinka should instead meet President Pavel separately.
