Czech billionaire Křetínský set to become West Ham’s largest shareholder

Czech billionaire and Sparta Prague owner Daniel Křetínský is set to become the largest shareholder in English football club West Ham United, according to British media. The Times reports that a new agreement would increase his stake from 27 to 46 percent, ahead of current largest shareholder David Sullivan, who would hold 40 percent. Křetínský has been a co-owner of West Ham since 2021 and reportedly aims to help the London club return quickly to the Premier League after its relegation last season. The transaction is expected to be completed in September, with changes also planned to the club’s management.
