Plzeňský Prazdroj to increase beer prices from October

The Czech Republic’s biggest brewery, Plzeňský Prazdroj, is set to increase the prices of its draught and some canned beers by 2.6 percent at the start of October, a spokesperson said on Thursday. Its flagship Pilsner Urquell lager has not gone up in price for three years.

A representative said the main reason for the increase in beer prices is the rising cost of materials and commodities as a result of the crisis in the Strait of Hormuz stemming from the war in the Middle East.
