Study: Half of Czechs go hiking

Hiking is one of the most popular leisure activities among Czechs, across all generations, suggests a study by insurance company Generali Česká pojišťovna cited by the Czech News Agency on Saturday.

Forty-nine per cent of respondents said they go hiking, while 38 per cent said they went on a hike several times a month.

Natural attractions are the biggest draw, followed by historical monuments and hill walks. Men are more interested in technical structures and industrial heritage sites than women, the survey indicates.
