Study: Two-fifths of Czechs to spend less this Christmas

Almost two-fifths of Czechs are planning to spend less this Christmas than they did last year, suggests a survey carried out in November for the investment platform Portu and cited by the Czech News Agency. Some 9 percent of those canvassed said they expected to spend more than in 2021.

Around three-quarters of respondents said they would spend up to CZK 10,000 on Christmas gifts.

Czech men and women plan to spend virtually the same amount, though the former earn more, the study indicates.
