State planning PPP tender for railway to Prague Airport

There has been progress in preparations for the railway line to Václav Havel Airport Prague, Czech Television announced. It said the state plans to select a private concessionaire next year for the section between Prague-Ruzyně and Veleslavín.

It would be the first public-private partnership project on the Czech railway network, with the government planning to cooperate with a private company. The project is expected to cost around 109 billion crowns.

The private partner would build the infrastructure and then operate and maintain it for the following 25 years.
