Pastrňák remains Czechia's highest-paid athlete

Ice hockey star David Pastrňák has been named Czechia's highest-paid athlete for the third consecutive year, according to the annual Forbes ranking. The Boston Bruins forward earned an estimated 275 million crowns during the 2025/26 season, despite making around 30 million crowns less than the previous year. Hockey players dominate the list, taking eight of the top ten places. Tomáš Hertl ranks second, while football striker Patrik Schick is third and midfielder Tomáš Souček fifth. Forbes bases its ranking on players' salaries, prize money and sponsorship income before taxes and expenses.
