Two people out on lake missing following heavy storms

Police are continuing the search for two young men who went missing at Lake Most after a powerful storm swept through the region on Tuesday. The men have been unaccounted for since then. During the storm, several people in the lake reportedly struggled to reach the shore. Divers, river police and firefighters are taking part in the search.

Clean up work is underway in many parts of north Bohemia, where heavy thunderstorms uprooted trees and damaged roofs on Tuesday evening. The fallen trees disrupted traffic on local roads and blocked several railway lines across the region. Some 1,600 households in the Česká Lípa region were still without electricity on Wednesday morning. Firefighters responded to around 140 storm-related incidents in the wake of the heat storms.
