Canoeist Kneblová wins world slalom gold

Czech canoeist Tereza Kneblová has become women's C1 world champion after winning the canoe slalom title at the World Championships in Oklahoma City. The 23-year-old claimed the first individual senior medal of her career, finishing 2.52 seconds ahead of Andorra's Monica Doria despite an error-filled final. Her victory gave Czechia its second gold medal of the championships, following Jakub Krejčí's triumph in the men's kayak event a day earlier. Czech paddlers added another medal through Lukáš Kratochvíl, who won bronze in the men's C1 on his senior World Championship debut, finishing behind Spain's Miquel Travé and Britain's Adam Burgess.
