Court orders Czech government to include president in NATO summit delegation
The Constitutional Court has ordered the Czech government to include President Petr Pavel in the country's delegation to the NATO summit in Ankara on July 7–8 while it considers his constitutional complaint over foreign policy powers. The interim ruling requires the government to secure the president's accreditation but does not prejudge the final outcome of the dispute. Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (ANO) said the government would respect the decision despite calling it contrary to Czech interests. Opposition parties welcomed the ruling, while government politicians criticised the court's unusually swift decision.
