Mobile internet use in Czechia surges over past decade
The number of people in Czechia using mobile internet has risen sharply over the past decade, reaching 7.2 million in 2025—four million more than in 2015, according to the Czech Statistical Office. The growth has been driven by widespread adoption of smartphones and faster mobile networks. While usage is nearly universal among younger and middle-aged groups, it remains lower among seniors, with only a quarter of those over 75 going online via mobile. Digital services are also expanding, with 85 percent using online banking and 75 percent shopping online. Meanwhile, artificial intelligence is now used by a third of the population, especially among younger users.
