Roma TV launches first nationwide Romani channel

Roma TV, the first nationwide Romani television channel, begins broadcasting Saturday evening on several IPTV platforms. The lineup features news, music shows, the magazines Roma Raja and Romale, and the talk show Roma Star. Viewers will also see a cooking programme hosted by Richard Samek, known from Czech Television. Roma TV is operated by the association TV Roma, founded last year, whose leadership includes Miroslava Tulejová, Emil Ščuka and Vojtěch Lavička. Its mission is to support education and cultural engagement among young and middle-generation Roma, promote Romani music, language and history, and strengthen integration into wider society.
