Czech heritage sites see rise in visitors, Lednice Castle remains most popular

Around 3.8 million people visited castles, chateaux, monasteries and other heritage sites run by the National Heritage Institute by the end of September, a seven percent increase compared to last year, the institute’s director general, Naděžda Goryczková, said on Thursday.

The most visited site, as in 2024, was Lednice Castle, which welcomed nearly 296,000 visitors, up eight percent year on year. The visitor season at National Heritage Institute sites runs until November 2. The institute also expects to raise ticket prices for the 2026 season.
