Czech parliamentary elections to begin Thursday on the American continent

Czech citizens abroad will be the first to cast ballots in this year’s parliamentary elections, starting Thursday evening due to the time difference. Voting opens at 19:00 CEST in Brazil and Argentina, followed by Cuba and the U.S. East Coast. Polling stations on the American continent will be open until Friday, when voting begins worldwide, including in Czechia. For the first time, postal voting is available, with nearly 11,000 people requesting it. More than 27,500 Czechs registered to vote abroad. In 2021, over 70 percent of expatriates voted.
