Pavel at UN Security Council: Russia’s aggression must be met with strength, not appeasement

Czech President Petr Pavel told the UN Security Council in New York that the world must respond to Russia’s aggression with strength and a united global reaction. He condemned Moscow’s disregard for peace and international law, citing recent drone incursions into Polish airspace as part of Russia’s deliberate strategy to intimidate its neighbors. Expressing full solidarity with Poland, Estonia, and Romania, he called the violations a “clear act of aggression.” Pavel also stressed that Ukraine must be central to any peace talks and urged all countries, particularly China, to stop enabling Russia’s war, which he warned threatens global security.
