Czechs honor Czechoslovak RAF pilots in Prague on Battle of Britain anniversary

The Czech Army, politicians, and members of the public gathered today at Prague’s Klárov to honor Czechoslovak pilots who served in the Royal Air Force during World War II. Air Force Commander Petr Čepelka said their courage and sacrifice continue to inspire new generations and highlight the value of international cooperation. Jitka Režná, daughter of legendary fighter pilot František Fajtl, stressed that their modest patriotism and camaraderie remain an example for all times. Wreaths were laid at the Winged Lion Memorial on the Day of the Air Force and the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.
